Project and Onboarding Specialist – Full-Time

Role Overview
As a Project and Onboarding Specialist, you’ll lead the charge for all new client onboardings and existing client projects. You’ll oversee database configuration, networking, equipment installation, team training, and go-live support for restaurant clients.
For existing clients, you’ll manage inbound project requests—such as new equipment installations, software add-ons, or networking upgrades—ensuring every project is executed seamlessly from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technology and hospitality, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Main Tasks
Database Management
● Collaborate with Alpha’s Data Entry team to stage client software tailored to their concept—order flow, items, modifiers, discounts, and staff setup.
● Review databases internally and with clients to confirm readiness before go-live.
● Advise on database best practices for each POS system implemented.
● Perform ongoing updates and configuration changes as requested.
Networking and Installation Expertise
● Conduct on-site surveys to verify internet quality, access points, and wiring before installation.
● Make necessary networking adjustments to optimize performance.
● Install POS equipment, ensuring clean cable management and efficient use of space.
● Label all devices and wiring for clarity and long-term support.
● Drill and mount equipment when required for professional presentation.
Staff Consultation, Training & Relationship Management
● Train restaurant teams (typically 10 or fewer, occasionally up to 50) on system use and best practices.
● Consult clients on workflow optimization and system utilization.
● Evaluate client satisfaction and troubleshoot early issues to maintain a high standard of onboarding success.
● Manage completion approvals and signed documentation confirming project delivery.
Skills Needed
● Restaurant Expertise: Deep understanding of restaurant operations, menu flow, and staff management.
● Technical Ability: Skilled in networking and installation; comfortable with routers, switches, and access points.
● Organization: Capable of managing multiple clients and timelines simultaneously.
● Communication: Clear, professional, and proactive with clients and internal teams.
● Leadership: Confident trainer able to guide and motivate groups during onboarding.
● Craftsmanship: Pride in presentation and quality—especially in wiring and installations.
Expected Experience
● Prior restaurant management experience required.
● Hands-on experience with networking and technology systems (setup and troubleshooting).
● Familiarity with restaurant POS platforms and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
● Proven ability to manage projects from planning through go-live with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
● Prior restaurant management or ownership background.
● Technology project coordination or client training experience.
● Ability to manage multiple openings/installations simultaneously.
● Familiarity with merchant services and payment platforms.
● Experience using CRM or ticketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zendesk).
● Exposure to restaurant hardware such as printers, terminals, or KDS systems.
Requirements
● Must be able to travel to client sites for installations, training, and go-live support.
● Able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform basic installation work (drilling, mounting, cable routing).
● Comfortable using tools such as drills, mounts, and ladders safely and professionally.
● Flexible availability—standard hours apply, but occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required for go-lives.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with restaurant staff and management.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
Accountability & Metrics
● Onboardings & Projects: 4 new onboardings and 3–10 projects completed per month.
● Client Satisfaction: Maintain a 4–5-star average post-onboarding rating.
● Database Accuracy: Minimal adjustments needed post-launch.
● Timeline Adherence: All onboarding items completed by go-live unless client requests otherwise.
● Post-Go-Live Quality: ≤10 support tickets within the first 30 days of launch.

Salary
Salary Range: $45,000–$60,000 (Based on Experience) Bonus: Bonus opportunities available based on project success and client satisfaction.
