Job Title: Project Engineer

Summary:
The Project Engineer I will be responsible for assisting a Project Manager and Superintendent on a structural steel management project both in the office and on the project site. The Project Engineer I will assist with scheduling preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. The Project Engineer I manages the project team resources and overall quality control of the work to ensure projects are completed according to project plans and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience:Associate Degree or two years of college curriculum in civil engineering, construction management, construction science, or architecture and zero to two years related experience. Prior construction estimating experience is a plus.Language Ability:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Math Ability:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
