Location: Harrisburg, PA

Hybrid/Onsite Schedule: One day a month in office
Contract Length: 1 year

Position Overview:

QA Tester with 4 plus years relevant experience in an agile testing environment; 3 years iOS mobile experience; exceptional written and verbal communication skills is needed.

Duties:

• Reviews and understands the Test Team work plan.
• Manages and directs Test Team processes.
• Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues and risks.
• Develops contingency plans as needed.
• Researches problems before escalating to leadership.
• Guides and supports Testers.
• Develops understanding of system business requirements.
• Plans and executes component and assembly tests with Application Teams.
• Participates in assembly or product test execution.
• Defines product test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Develops, updates, and maintains testing standards and procedures.
• Resolves testing process questions and issues.
• Plans, creates, and controls test environments.
• Conducts inspections and resolves related issues.
• Coordinates and executes tests with the Test Team, Application Team, and Program Manager.
• Monitors and updates time estimates and actuals for assigned tasks.
• Trains and mentors Test Team members.
• Updates and tests release installation procedures.
• Defines and applies entry and exit criteria for testing.
• Designs and schedules structured walk-throughs or inspections.
• Works with users to validate that solutions meet business requirements.
• Creates and maintains test models (plans, data, scripts) for testing and release control.
• Conducts and participates in structured walk-throughs.
• Executes assembly or product tests.
• Meets deadlines and time estimates for tasks.
• Communicates accurate and timely status updates.
• Follows established quality standards.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Completes assigned tasks.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required Skills:

• 4 years of Agile method software testing experience
• 3 years of iOS mobile experience
• Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
