Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe working environment by conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. This position will be in mid-size fabrication shop type of environment. Pay for the position will be determined based off of longevity in a safety position as well as overall experience. This opportunity is a M-F full time position. The hours are 5:30am-1:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures in alignment with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of safety within the facility.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance audits.
• Assist in the investigation of safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to machine safety.
• Working in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in conducting safety inspections.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications in safety management or related fields are a plus.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Salary info:

$28 - $32 / hr
