Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional counseling opportunity is available for a dedicated and passionate Counselor in Cordele, GA. This contract position extends through the entire school year (NSY), offering the chance to provide essential mental health support to students in an educational setting. The role focuses on promoting emotional well-being, academic success, and personal growth through individualized and group counseling sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop support plans that enhance student well-being.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies, conflict resolution skills, and goal-setting techniques.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in accordance with professional ethical standards.
• Participate in meetings and provide input on student progress and intervention strategies.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support when necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed or certified Counselor with relevant credentials.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in school or clinical settings.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices in educational environments.
