\n\n \n School Social Worker – Key Responsibilities: \n
Student Support & Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
\nIEP & 504 Plan Collaboration: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Offer social-emotional input, behavioral goals, and recommendations for interventions.
\nFamily & Community Liaison: Act as a bridge between home, school, and community resources. Support families by connecting them to relevant services and programs.
\nCrisis Intervention: Respond to crises and provide immediate support to students, staff, and families during emergency situations.
\nCase Management & Documentation: Maintain thorough and confidential records of student progress, services provided, and communication with stakeholders. Prepare documentation for IEP meetings and evaluations.
\nMultidisciplinary Team Participation: Collaborate with educators, psychologists, counselors, administrators, and other team members to assess student needs and create holistic support plans.
\nLicensure: State social work license from the state of Missouri
\nClearances: Criminal Background Check and TB Clearance
\nWork Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
\nPreferred Qualifications:
\nPrevious experience working in a school-based setting
\nStrong knowledge of community mental health resources
\nEnvironment: Occasional exposure to typical school conditions including dust, noise, and changing environments.
\nActivity: Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
\nSensory: Ability to perform essential job duties with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including in moderate to high noise environments.
