Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time social worker position is available to support K-12 students in school settings within the Tacoma, WA area. This role offers an opportunity to provide crucial social and emotional support to students throughout the full academic year. The position is contract-based, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to students across K-12 grades.
• Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop interventions.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and support services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.

Qualifications:

• Professional experience as a social worker in educational settings preferred.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
• Ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse student populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid state social work licensure or certification as required.

Location: Tacoma, WA area; surrounding communities will also be considered.
