Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The main focus of the Scribe is to help facilitate the timely manufacturing and delivery of AFNA - West Monroe's products, ultimately leading to customer satisfaction. The scribe is responsible for entering production information into the computer systems to accurately track production, scrap, downtime, and other production-related components. This position must maintain safety and food safety guidelines and requirements at all times.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Computer literate plus able to type twenty-five words per minute
  • Performs handwork - including cutting, inspecting, sealing, gluing, taping, labeling and spouting
  • Packages finished goods and prepares for shipment
  • Performs quality checks on products and parts
  • Reviews work orders and drawings to ensure work is performed according to specification
  • Complete production reports when necessary
  • Practice good housekeeping - sweeping, dusting, wiping of tables, etc.
  • Report to work on time every day
  • Stay on duty and/or workstation until relieved
  • Report hours worked on current time keeping system
  • PM and maintain areas of responsibility
  • Record problems, resolutions and changes in machine logs
  • Cross train others when necessary
  • Responsible for inspecting all goods produced
  • Responsible for packaging all goods produced
  • Responsible for trimming and accuracy of all goods produced
  • Responsible for data accuracy of all transactions performed
  • Responsible for providing support and assistance to production hand finishers when necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires an employee to stand, walk and sit, and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Potential contact with chemicals and cleaning supplies, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds is a requirement.
