Position Summary

The SEO Specialist is responsible for creating and executing overall SEO and content strategy across channels, enhancing organic marketing efforts across each brand’s ecommerce websites and other channels to optimize traffic and performance.

SEO Responsibilities

Keyword Research

  • Conduct keyword research using tools like SEMrush, Helium 10, and Google Search Console to identify opportunities for organic growth.
  • Integrate target keywords into website content, meta descriptions, and URL structures to align with user intent and business goals.

On-Page Optimization

  • Optimize website content, titles, meta descriptions, headers, image alt attributes, and internal links to improve search engine relevance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and automation workflows.

Technical SEO

  • Conduct website audits to identify and resolve technical issues, such as crawl errors, page speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Implement structured data and schema markup to improve search engine indexing and visibility.
  • Collaborate with developers to align site architecture with SEO standards and optimize Core Web Vitals.

Off-Page SEO

  • Develop and execute link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable domains.
  • Maintain a clean backlink profile, disavowing harmful links when necessary.

Content Automation System (CAS) Collaboration

  • Partner with the content team to integrate SEO insights into the Content Automation System for scalable, high-quality content that drives organic traffic.
  • Use automation tools to streamline key SEO areas of interest to improve efficiency and boost brand visibility.
  • Assist and help build and maintain the CAS System (Content Automation System)

Analytics & Reporting

  • Leverage tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, and Google Looker Studio to measure organic performance.
  • Build custom trackers and dashboards for detailed reporting using frontend development skills and TAG Manager for seamless tracking.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on performance metrics to improve rankings and conversions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of combined experience in SEO management within e-commerce or related industries.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior level staff.
  • Proficiency with tools like Google Ads, Bing Ads, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Advertising, SEMrush, Helium 10, and Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Hands-on experience with Google TAG Manager for implementing tracking setups

Certifications:

  • Google Analytics and Google Ads certifications are required.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and PPC principles.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and frontend development for building custom trackers and dashboards.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with content and development teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
