We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Security Escort for icons and monuments in Washington, DC. In this critical role, you will support the Agency by escorting un-badged personnel and contractors in restricted areas, ensuring compliance with security protocols and maintaining the safety of sensitive areas. General Description

The Security Escort is responsible for accompanying and monitoring un-badged personnel within restricted areas of a building or facility that are closed to the public. This position ensures the security and integrity of sensitive locations by enforcing access control procedures and maintaining a secure environment.

 Major Duties:

 
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., reflective vest, hard hat, safety glasses) when necessary.
  • Escort all un-badged personnel, including contractors, in areas of the building that are not accessible to the public.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of un-badged personnel to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Assist with other physical security tasks as required, such as monitoring entry points or assisting with security checks.
  • Communicate effectively with security teams and report any irregularities or breaches of security.
Professional Qualifications/Skills:

 
  • Security Clearance: Must hold a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and have the ability to maintain this clearance for the duration of the contract.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security escorting, access control, military, law enforcement, or a related field is required. Four (4) years of experience is preferred.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Must be physically capable of walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Environmental Conditions: Must be willing to work in both internal and external environments, which may include exposure to extreme cold or heat for prolonged periods.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the security and operational integrity of sensitive areas within the building or facility. Applicants should demonstrate both physical endurance and a commitment to upholding security protocols.
