Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Informatics Analyst , to lead data analytics initiatives that support Bloom Healthcare’s population health strategies. This position reports to the VP of Technology and supports population health analysis to drive operational and clinical improvement. This position requires a wide range of expertise and experience in population health, value-based care and ACO, as well as strong analytical and project management skills. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, processes, and user needs and document these findings to support BI-centric solutions, particularly with Medicare Advantage, ACO, and claims data. Build compelling visualizations, innovative models, and create ad hoc analyses to influence and analyze population performance. Present analyses and models to key stakeholders. Support leadership and other key stakeholders as needed to share insights to drive performance improvement, such as MLRs, risk adjustment and quality measures. Utilize internal data systems and external data to drive analyses. Data sets will include claims and clinical sources. Reconcile and verify data to ensure data integrity and reasonableness. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) claims, eligibility, encounter, and clinical data from multiple sources. Maintain a thorough understanding of ACO and value-based care incentive models and business processes and leverage that knowledge in project-related efforts. Mentor other Business Analysts in the team. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Informatics, Health Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline) required 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, informatics, or a related field, preferably working at ACOs, Medicare Advantage payors, or value-based care programs Excellent analytical skills and ability to manipulate large data sets from multiple systems using MS Office, SQL, Python, or other database management tools. Experience working with large healthcare datasets, including claims, eligibility, and encounter data Demonstrated project and/or process management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizing to meet critical deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, required. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Ability to communicate well with business owners and technical staff for effective scope control and timely project completion. Experience with machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI (e.g., GPT) is a plus. Familiarity with EHR systems, interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), and payer-provider data exchanges is a plus. Why Bloom? Competitive salary with bonuses and stock options.
