Senior Process Engineer: Geothermal Power Plant
This position offers 60% equity and a 20% bonus. The company is a thermal energy company that is fully funded and has secured long-germ government contracts.
Compensation: $150,000–$170,000 + 60% equity + 20% bonus.
Schedule/Location: Hybrid (Downtown Houston) with some travel to field locations and other company sites.
Placement: Direct Hire/Full Time
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical).
- 5+ years of process engineering experience , including 5+ years of air-cooled condensersexperience.
- Proficiency in plant monitoring and modeling software (Aspen, HYSYS, Pro II, ProMax, etc.).
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&ID, PFD, HMB) and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Expertise in CFD analysis software and pipeline or pump system design.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead design, optimization, and troubleshooting of air-cooled condenser systems for geothermal power plants.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), equipment specifications, and heat and mass balance calculations.
- Perform thermodynamic and hydraulic analyses to optimize system performance.
- Manage data and deliver detailed design documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, material balances, etc.).
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize facility designs and incorporate innovative technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), and recommend safety improvements.
- Support commissioning, performance testing, and start-up of new or modified facilities.
