We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, dependable, detailed-oriented, and customer-focused Consultant to fill a full-time position in our Avondale showroom.
Our Consultant will:
* Assist customers in the selection of products
* Serve as a SME of the companys products
* Effectively respond to inquiries related to the recommended (or restricted) use of products
* Research and resolve customer questions/problems in person and over the phone
* Maintain the showroom area in an organized manner that is conducive to sales and service
* Provide support to outside sales in the performance of their duties
* Assist the inside sales manager
* Develop and retain trade client relationships via in-house meeting(s), email, texting, mailings, internet and phone
* Proactively identify new opportunities and sales channels
* Promote the showroom for trade events and promotions
* Coordinate sales efforts with the outside sales representative via regular meetings and the sharing of leads and other pertinent market information
Required qualifications:
* High school diploma/GED
* 1-year experience in inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing, or customer service
* Ability to multitask and prioritize
* Attention to detail
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Preferred qualifications:
* Prior experience in the home improvement industry
* Certificate or degree in interior design
Desired qualifications:
* Cabinet hardware experience
* Door entry hardware experience
* Home building or remodeling experience
* Kitchen/bath/closet design experience
* Eclipse distribution management software experience
Compensation is hourly and based on experience. Following an established period of training, a sales commission component may be included. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., no nights or weekends.
