Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area. To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois or Indiana, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.

• This is an flexible role that allows you to choose from available shifts that work for you
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children across different families and homes
• Engage children with fun activities, creative play, and meaningful interaction
• Assist with diaper changes, bathroom breaks, and keeping kids clean and comfortable
• Show up on time, communicate reliably, and follow instructions from each family

• Previous experience in structured childcare setting (babysitting, daycare, nannying, etc.); successful applicants will need to provide 3 professional reference letters that can speak to this experience
• Access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation is required
• Must be 18+ years old
• Comfortable caring for kids from newborns to 13-year-olds
• Dependable, energetic, and enjoy working in new environments

• You’ll work with different families in your area, supporting their childcare needs when they need it most
• Jovie handles all logistics, including payroll and paperwork, and offers ongoing support, resources, and development opportunities
