The future is looking bright, Colorado! RenewableWorks is now accepting applications for an exciting solar project coming up in the Meeker area. Whether you've been working on solar sites for years or are an aspiring first-timer, we'd love for you to join our crew! We're currently looking for LOCALS to Meeker and surrounding towns. If you, or anyone you know, are in the Axial, White River City, Buford, Antlers, Anvil Points, New Castle, Silt, Angora, Jensen, Lay, Parachute, Craig, Rifle, Rangely or Sunbeam areas - WE WANT YOU! As a Skid Steer Operator on our team, you'll be instrumental in the operations of commercial solar farm sites. You'll take charge of operating machinery on uneven outdoor remote solar construction sites to load and unload trucks, stage materials and move trash containers. Heads up: This is a physically demanding role that will require you to work in all kinds of weather and terrain. A strong work ethic will serve you well, along with prior solar or construction experience (this is a plus, not a must!). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Performing equipment checks prior to operating the machinery each day Operating/maneuvering skid steer to unload trucks and move materials to the field Operating skid steer safely, especially when in close proximity to workers on foot Operating skid steer safely in uneven outdoor terrain Ensuring equipment is safely and securely stored when not in use Cleaning, maintaining and making basic repairs to equipment Coordinating with crew members with basic equipment operating hand and/or audio signals Ensuring safety comes first - always! JOB REQUIREMENTS A Class 3 Construction Equipment Certification is required; expired certifications may potentially be validated through a verifiable reference Ability to lift up to 50-75+ pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to meet additional screening requirements and pass a drug test when applicable Knowledge of basic equipment operation hand signals Solar and/or construction site experience is a plus Verifiable references of professional skills and work history/resume While tools will be provided onsite, please come ready with steel or composite toed boots and hot/cold weather gear PERKS & BENEFITS Weekly paychecks Direct Deposit or Cash Card pay options Medical / Dental Insurance 401k Advancement Opportunities Fringe Benefit $4.41/HR Per Diem available to eligible traveler The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $20.22 - $20.22 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
