Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Senior Software Engineer – San Francisco Compensation: $200K–$250K Base + 0.4–0.8% Equity & Health Benefits About the Role We’re partnering with a YC S23–backed startup that’s building a vertical AI agent to automate the 1 billion+ phone calls and emails freight brokers handle each year, integrating AI across email, voice, and TMS systems. As an early Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work directly with the CTO and co-founders on a tight-knit team of 10, owning full-stack development of core AI features using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and the OpenAI API What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript to support omnichannel AI workflows
• Integrate and optimize OpenAI API calls to automate load tracking, booking, and rescheduling
• Architect and maintain AWS infrastructure for low-latency data processing and high availability
• Lead system design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with the CTO on product requirements and partner with clients onsite as needed
