Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. This position is focused on creating an inclusive classroom environment, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with staff and families to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Adapt general education curriculum and teaching methods to support students with varying disabilities.
Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social skills.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid state Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and best practices in special education.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
