*Position Overview:* We are seeking a dedicated and certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Greater Good Student Support Services. *Responsibilities:* * Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy sessions to students under the supervision of an SLP. * Implement therapeutic interventions and activities designed to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills. * Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technology to support students with communication impairments. * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. * Conduct screenings and progress monitoring to track students' communication skills and progress. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records. * Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology, incorporating new knowledge into practice. * Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support services. *Qualifications:* * Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of California. * Knowledge of communication disorders and therapy techniques commonly used in pediatric populations. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and team members. * Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the individual needs of students. * Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in speech-language pathology. * Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
