Summary

The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Laboratory staff and workflow to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do as a Laboratory Supervisor II

  • Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications. 50-65%
  • Mentors and develops staff for planning, scheduling and monitoring of Laboratory operations 15% - 20%
  • Oversees purchasing of laboratory supplies meets departmental needs and approves purchase requisitions. 5%
  • Executes operational improvements to efficiency, quality and/or cost. 10% - 15%
  • Owns interview process for open positions, makes decisions on hiring. 5%
  • Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure. 5%

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Minimum 8 years experience in a Laboratory
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role
