Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a senior state tax accountant to sit on-site 4 days a week in either Birmingham, AL or Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax software and state apportionment and will assist the manager with various compliance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage state apportionment files
- Assist with state adjustments
- Respond to state notices and audit information requests
- Collaborate on annual reports and other direct tax-related tasks
- Support Tax Manager with compliance activities, including preparing state tax returns, filing franchise tax returns, and handling apportionment files
