Paradise Coast Sports Complex features 5 professional-level synthetic turf fields, including a 3500 seat Championship Stadium with a jumbo scoreboard, on-site recreation and entertainment options with high quality concessions. The complex hosts a variety of tournaments year-round including youth travel soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball and more. Other amenities include The Cove concessions and food truck pavilion, The Factory" outdoor fitness center, a jogging trail, a 32-acre lake with sunset facing fire pits and a beach, food market, and the Great Lawn entertainment center. POSITION SUMMARY

This position works in conjunction with the General Manager (GM), Assistant General Manager (AGM,) and Business Development Manager. The Tournament & Non-sport Event Coordinator is the primary creative and functional driver for external and internally-produced tournament execution, individual and group sports camps, corporate team building experiences, concerts, and other event opportunities. These ongoing efforts run from inception to completion with a variety of associated accountabilities. In addition, the will be required to fill the role of Manager on Duty at the discretion of the General Manager during various events at the venue. The Manager on Duty oversees the overall venue operation during an assigned shift and/or event ensuring every aspect of the venue experience is running at optimal levels.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist with assignments of appropriate changeover personnel to accurately and efficiently set-up and tear down events
  • To develop and maintain ongoing relationships with event owners, coaches, and teams
  • To manage and maintain the operations of events for events including contract management, marketing, promotions, and sales
  • To participate and oversee the creation, planning, implementation and management of events, tournaments. This position has P&L responsibility for meeting the events revenue goals of venues
  • Be on-site Tournament and Event Director at owned and partnered Events. Manage ongoing facility schedule
  • Supervise, train, and motivate Sports and Operations Team Members
  • Actively participates in other operational functions as necessary, including but not limited to event setup and execution, attending all scheduled events and meetings, assisting other departments during outside or special events, etc.
  • Maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, which includes opportunity information management, contact information, and business development activity.
  • Develop and maintain Events Sales Operating Procedures (SOP's) materials for internally produced Events.
  • Develop and manage relationships with business partners in order to leverage ancillary revenue streams such as, but not limited to, broader event commitments and development of new events where opportunity exists
  • To prepare and present regular reporting on events & business development, which must include results of events held, participation levels, economic impact performance, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as developed
  • To partner with all Departments within the Company to maximize the opportunity of developing industry relationships, and to represent the Company at industry trade shows and other external vehicles
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree and/or 3-5 years of industry-related project experience
  • Advanced knowledge and familiarization with state, regional and national youth sports organizations
  • Experience in communicating and collaborating with all levels of management through written and verbal methods
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within 90 days
  • Ability to learn, with training, technology and sports, recreation, facility and scheduling programs
  • Ability to create, manage and schedule tournament brackets and game schedules for various sports
  • Experience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sports
  • Must have experience in facility operations, tournament, and league set-up and operations
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours during peak periods inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
