Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

About the Position

AGS is currently looking for a Traffic Control Manager to act as lead for the Traffic Control, ITS and Rental departments in the greater Pacific Northwest Region (WA/OR/ID/MT/WY). This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as act as an intermediary between the Sales, Estimating & Solutions teams with regards to quoting, drafting and projects.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Traffic Control Supervisors to ensure seamless communication between office and field activities
• Continuous monitoring of traffic control schedule through dispatch, stay informed of daily activities and events
• As required, setup and supervision of work zones per traffic control plan
• Ensure field crew has appropriate training and applicable certificates are maintained
• Participate in industry related seminars, meetings and training to ensure AGS is following up-to-date best practices
• Assist and follow up on quoted projects for traffic control, rental, sales and ITS Solutions
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensure issues are dealt with in a timely manner
• Responsible for recruitment, scheduling, performance management, policy adherence and training to maintain a cohesive team
• Willing to travel to WA/OR/MT/WY/ID to assist with growth, sales, planning and helping with large projects
• Hold a valid passport with the willingness and ability to travel to Canada
• Ensure LEAN and 6S (Six Sigma) are being executed by your team on a daily basis

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to operate forklift is desired
• Ability to pull and back up trailer mounted equipment
• Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred but equivalent experience in road construction relating to traffic control may be considered as well.
• Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and Fit Test. *Note: As this is a safety-sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy for use of medical or recreational marijuana
• Approximately 5-10 year's progressive experience in the Traffic/Transportation industry is required
• Approximately 5-10 year's leadership experience is required
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
• Previous project management experience
• Previous experience in a LEAN/6S environment is a bonus!
