Job Description

Seeking outgoing individual to train CHD staff in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and physical management strategies. CHD is seeking a part-time trainer for its Safey-Care training program. Safety-Care is an evidence-based incident prevention and management training that provides skills and competencies necessary to effectively prevent, minimize, and manage behavioral challenges with dignity, safety, and the possibility of change.

This position is approximately 50-60 hours per month at our Springfield, MA Training Center location. Good communication skills and an out-going personality are essential to success in this role. Trainers must be comfortable demonstrating skills, performing role-plays and able to meet the physical demands of this role. The position also requires attending and passing a 4-day train the trainer session.

Experience in behavioral health or human services is preferred as well as prior training and/or experience performing in front of people.
