Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Lexington, VA

\n \n

You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like.

$1800 or more per week - And it gets better

\n \n\n

\n
• $1800+ for 5 days worked ($2200+ if desiring to work 6 th & 7 th day)
\n \n
• Driver Positions Paid Weekly
\n \n
• Assigned Trucks
\n \n
• $1200 Safety Bonus, paid $300 every quarter
\n \n
• Hours Per Week: 60 + hours per week
\n \n
• Overnights for Route in Sleeper
\n \n
• Schedule: Mostly Monday – Friday, ocassional weekends
\n \n

• Paid Time Off Starts at Day 1- 80 hours accrued in 1st year

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

• Deliver SOLO To: AL, TN, KY, LA, FL, LA, AR, TX, MO, KS, OH, PA, VA, AZ, NM

• Route: OTR

• Cannot accept Auto Restriction
\n \n
• Tractor Type: Sleeper
\n \n
• Trailer Type: 48' Flatbed, Curtainside
\n \n
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
\n \n
• Freight: Load Securement Only – Steel - Strapping, tarping, and chaining
\n \n\n

Requirements

\n \n\n

• Minimum 21 years of age
\n \n
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
\n \n
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
\n \n
• Pass a DOT physical
\n \n
• Pass a Ryder road test
\n \n
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
\n \n
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
\n \n
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
\n \n
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
\n \n
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
\n \n
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
\n \n
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
\n \n\n

Responsibilities

\n \n\n

\n
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
\n \n
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
\n \n
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
\n \n
• Performs other duties as assigned
\n \n\n
