Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired Supporting Students VIRTUALLY in New York!

About VocoVision:
VocoVision is seeking a skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote services to K-12 students in New York. In this role, you will offer specialized instruction in braille, assistive technology, and mobility skills, helping visually impaired students succeed academically and socially through virtual learning.
Deliver remote instruction in braille, adaptive technologies, and functional skills for students with visual impairments.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique needs and learning goals.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school teams to track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Participate in IEP meetings to ensure that visually impaired students receive the appropriate services and accommodations.
Provide guidance to general education teachers on how to integrate visually impaired students into classroom activities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with New Mexicos special education regulations.
Valid New Yorkcertification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education with a focus on visual impairments.
At least two years of experience teaching visually impaired students (teletherapy experience preferred).
Proficiency with assistive technology and virtual teaching platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
A reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
