Job Description


What You Will Do:

As a Web Developer with Independent Software, you will support the development and maintenance of secure, cloud-native applications leveraging modern DevOps and serverless technologies. You will contribute to designing scalable infrastructure, building AWS-based solutions, and ensuring high-quality code and documentation to support mission-critical platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with engineers, DevOps specialists, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, reliable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with the development and execution of test procedures for software component
  • Generate, review, and maintain technical and software documentation
  • Ensure quality control for all developed and modified software solutions
  • Contribute to Agile software development processes and ceremonies
  • Collaborate with team members using Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation
  • Develop and maintain applications using modern programming languages and framework
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting the development and testing of software components
  • Proficiency in reviewing and producing technical documentation
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance and control practices
  • Hands-on development experience with:
    • React
    • Java
    • CGI
    • Visual Basic
    • HTML
    • XML
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Apache NiFi
Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Web Developer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • An additional four (4) years of Web Developer experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
