Job Description

Licensed hair dresser needed for very busy Anchorage salon. We have more business right now than we can handle. We are a commission salon _*BUT*_ will guarantee you make _*minimum of $20/hour in wages and tips*_ while you get up to speed. We work 4 days per week, ten hours a day. _*If you hold a license from another state we will assist in getting it transferred*_. You must have a current Hairdresser's license and your own tools. We cater to a variety of customers with different requests, so you need to be comfortable working with clients of all ages. Our ideal candidate has a passion for cutting and styling hair and knows how to style classic looks as well as current trends.

Hairstylist Duties and Responsibilities

* Greet clients and offer refreshments
* Discuss and confirm what kind of cut or service the client wants
* Wash and condition client's hair
* Cut, color, process, and style client's hair according to specifications
* Cultivate relationships with clients to ensure they become regular customers
* Keep scissors sharp, brushes sanitized, and all equipment in good condition

Hairstylist Requirements and Qualifications

* Cosmetology school certification
* Current state Hair Dressers License
* Passion for _*Coloring*_ and styling hair
* Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
