Position: On-Call Job Coach
  • Classification : Non-Exempt

  • Reports To : Employment Services Coordinator

  • Schedule : On-Call / Flexible hours

  • Compensation : $23.25 per hour

  • Location : Various job sites across the community

What You'll Do

As an On-Call Job Coach, you'll support adults with disabilities (particularly those in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community) in achieving success in community employment. You'll provide hands-on job coaching, reinforce workplace skills, and support each individual's independence and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Deliver culturally competent job coaching services in fluent American Sign Language (ASL) , tailored to Deaf clients' needs and communication preferences.

  • Apply a strong understanding of Deaf culture and workplace accessibility to ensure clients receive respectful, empowering support.

  • Assist with job tasks, workplace communication, and readiness skills, such as travel training and money management.

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with employers to promote successful job placements and retention.

  • Document client progress, complete monthly billing, and submit required reports, including Special Incident Reports when needed.

  • Participate in team meetings, agency trainings, and other organizational activities as required.

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, treating all clients and coworkers with dignity and respect.

What You'll Bring
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required .

  • In-depth knowledge of Deaf culture and demonstrated cultural humility when working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients.

  • At least two years of experience supporting adults with disabilities, preferably in community or work-based settings.

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong written documentation skills and digital fluency (Microsoft Office).

  • Ability to respond to urgent or unusual client circumstances with sound judgment and professionalism.
